When your friends in your linkshell ask for help killing some new NMs, naturally you may want to help them. New fights, new challenges… what could go wrong? I mean, how could you resist that cute taru face smiling up at you??
Resist. Seriously. Or at least until you’ve done more research than we have 
We’ve recently tried to kill Lugh and Elatha. We cocked up both. First time because we were fighting Elatha and none of the mages were /NIN. We actually got Elatha down to 9% before giving up but we messed up a fair bit at the start and got into a cycle of death which started to get everyone down so we called it. Still we learnt a ton about Elatha at least and figure that next time, we’ll be a bit more organised and get him down fairly fast. Both the NMs look freaking awesome. Was a lot of fun, if not frustrating. I’m sure we’ll be back.
Ran out of time in Einherjar, which was a shame really cos we did pretty well in Tier 3. We’re slowly we’re recruiting back up to the level we need and hopefully we can finally fight Odin.
In Dynamis, another shell took 15 peeps into Sandy about an hour or so before we were due to go in, so once again we had to move zones. We had a bit of a headache rearranging but decided as we had a couple of peeps who needed the Glacier win, we’d go back and get it. Which we promptly did and even had 35 mins for some post boss farming, once everyone was unweakened from re-entry. Was worth it two as we got 3 more drops in that time. Unfortunately DNC dropped far too late and we’d just poked the Dynamis Stat as a last resort (killed everything else in the area) so we had dead people. The COR body was saved, thanks to those who home-pointed, and those of us who died when DNC dropped also HP’d to try and get it to drop for Neph, but alas we ran out of time. So we walked away with 8 drops and one other hit the floor I think. That or it auto’d to someone random. I dunno, I homepointed.
RDM dropped and I was points leader. Stunmonk has been waiting for RDM gear far longer than me, so I deferred to him, but he already had the body so I lotted. Still like to see him get his hat first, as he’s been waiting a while. Then I lotted uncontested on the COR body (Random Deal piece) at the end.
Was great to see another BLM body, grats to Shao! We saw two pairs of THF pants, where Xan demonstrated how he should never lot for gear ever. He once again rolled low on the first pair (grats Stun!) and then uncontested lotted 37 or so on the second. Xan cannot lot or random well for anything.
We skipped Limbus last night, so that peeps could go enjoy the Superbowl and so Clevan, Dellos and I went up to Sky and trioed some Fields of Valor for some xp buffer and tabs. I tried to mpk them with Despot but alas he didn’t pop.
Next weekend Niamh and KD should be back after long vacations, it’s been quiet without them and I’m looking forward to having them both back.
